Austrian Computer Society together with its partners organised a conference Central & Eastern European eGovernance days CEE e / Dem and e / Gov Days 2021 titled CoV 19 as a Driver for eGovernment? Mr. Blaž Golob HeliotGroup Country manager for Slovenia and Smart City Business development officer at the HeliotGroup delivered a speech on how IoT could support successful twin transitions (Green & Digital) in Europe.
Acompanied by Mr. Michael Zügel representative of the Ministry of Interior of Baden – Wurttemberg, Mr. Ronald Bieber General Secretary of Austrian Computer Society and Ms. Boglarka Koller prof. Vice Rector of Ludovika National University of Hungary proceeded with her university collegue prof. Norbert Kis, as key note speakers endorsed the 2021 scientific conference.
In his key note speech Mr. Golob highlited the recent published EU Report on Open Strategic Autonomy of Europe by 2040 (EU/JRC 2021) at which technological trends & opportunities are one out of five strategic priority areas of European Union. Digital hyperconnectivity & technological transformation as one of key global megatrend will connect 200 billion of IoT devices by 2030 according to the recently published EU study. In 2020 we are at 30.4 billion IoT connected objects, places and people. Mr. Golob presented concrete business use cases supported by Sigfox IoT solutions. Special interest of the audience was triggered by a smart watermeter project that helps cities to become smarter.
